While the state of Texas has general rules and regulations, Grapevine Lake does have some specific fishing regulations to follow.

• Only two largemouth bass less than 18 inches may be harvested per day, per angler.
• The combined daily bag limit for Black Bass is 5 fish per angler.
• Crappie must be at least 10 inches long and no more than 25 may be taken per day, per angler.
• Blue Catfish and Channel Catfish will need to be at least 12 inches. The daily limit for these fish is 25 per angler.

Finally, the dam is another excellent choice for tossing crankbaits near the rocky points. The dam also has an underwater aeration system that is known to attract Blue Catfish and White Bass.
